A Very Simple Easy To Use Waterproof Flooring System
Revolutionary Interior Elevator Pit Sealing with SANI-TRED
Waterproofing and protecting interior elevator pits is a critical task, as these areas are highly susceptible to water damage and corrosion. Traditional sealing methods often fail over time, leading to costly repairs and safety concerns. SANI-TRED offers a cutting-edge solution with its innovative waterproofing system that not only seals but strengthens the surface, providing long-lasting protection. Here's how SANI-TRED's advanced technology ensures superior elevator pit sealing.
Flexible Penetration Technology™ and Elongation Memory™: The Key to Long-Lasting Protection
At the core of SANI-TRED’s performance are two groundbreaking technologies: flexible penetration technology™ and elongation memory™. These features allow the product to deeply penetrate the pores of concrete in the elevator pit, forming a permanent, watertight bond. The flexible penetration creates rubber-like sealing plugs that function similarly to hydraulic O-rings, preventing any moisture intrusion.
Elongation memory™ allows SANI-TRED to adapt to temperature changes and shifts in the building structure. Elevator pits can experience expansion and contraction due to environmental factors, and unlike conventional sealants that crack or fail over time, SANI-TRED remains flexible and intact, ensuring continuous waterproofing and protection.
Durable Bonding for Elevator Pits
Elevator pits face unique challenges, including exposure to water, debris, and mechanical vibrations. SANI-TRED's polymer chemistry not only seals the surface but also strengthens over time, providing a robust foundation that can handle these harsh conditions. This makes it ideal for interior elevator pit sealing, where both waterproofing and durability are crucial.
Waterproofing That Resists Hydrostatic Pressure
Interior elevator pits often encounter water infiltration due to underground moisture or leaks from surrounding areas. SANI-TRED’s system is designed to resist negative hydrostatic pressure—water pressure that pushes from beneath the surface. This ability to withstand extreme conditions ensures that the elevator pit stays dry and secure, preventing water damage, corrosion, and the potential breakdown of mechanical components.
Slip-Resistant and Safe Surface
Elevator pits must also be safe for maintenance personnel who may need to access them. SANI-TRED’s coating provides a slip-resistant surface, reducing the risk of accidents in wet conditions. This non-toxic, odor-free solution creates a safe environment, free of harmful fumes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Seamless Application for Complete Coverage
SANI-TRED offers a seamless application, ensuring that the entire elevator pit is covered with no cracks or gaps where water could penetrate. This comprehensive sealing process is essential for elevator pits, which are prone to water seepage from various entry points. The seamless nature of SANI-TRED’s coating prevents the accumulation of water and debris, keeping the pit clean and dry.
Superior Waterproofing with SANI-TRED LRB (Liquid Rubber Base)
SANI-TRED’s Liquid Rubber Base (LRB) is a flexible, waterproof layer that cures to any thickness, ensuring that even areas with heavy water exposure or structural weaknesses are fully protected. Its molecular bonding capabilities allow new layers to bond to old ones, creating a continuous seal over time. This flexibility and durability are key for elevator pits, which require a reliable waterproofing solution that won’t deteriorate.
PermaFlex: The Core of SANI-TRED’s System
SANI-TRED PermaFlex is the essential component of this waterproofing system. Its deep penetration into the substrate creates a network of sealing tentacles that ensure a tight bond to the surface, providing a watertight barrier that can handle the constant exposure to water and pressure that elevator pits endure.
Industrial-Grade Protection for Interior Elevator Pits
SANI-TRED is designed to meet the high standards of industrial and commercial applications. Elevator pits in high-traffic buildings or those exposed to harsh conditions benefit from SANI-TRED’s superior protection. Its waterproofing system not only seals the surface but also adds durability to withstand constant use and environmental stressors.
Simple Installation and Long-Term Results
SANI-TRED’s system is easy to install and maintain, making it ideal for interior elevator pits that require consistent performance without ongoing maintenance issues. Proper surface preparation ensures a strong bond, and once applied, the system continues to provide protection year after year, even in the most demanding conditions.

Embrace the future of elevator pit waterproofing with SANI-TRED and protect your infrastructure for years to come.
SANI-TRED SLIP RESISTANT ADVANTAGES
SANI-TRED products maintain permanent flexibility and never harden or become brittle, they only become stronger with age. SANI-TRED Permaflex, (liquid rubber primer and top coating), penetrates deeply into the pores of the concrete substrate and produces tiny solid rubber sealing plugs. These tiny plugs or sealing tentacles in each and every pore or crack in the substrate hold back to retain water pressure before it has a chance to reach the SANI-TRED coating surface to peel it off en masse as with other types of coatings. These sealing tentacles work like tiny, high pressure, hydraulic o-rings or "flexible penetration technology™ ". The tentacles seal, anchor, and lock the coating to the concrete or mortar substrate. This is one of the main characteristics that gives SANI-TRED the ability to retain "negative hydrostatic pressure".
The photos below show a concrete patio block which was coated on one side with SANI-TRED Permaflex which was red-tinted to allow better visual detection of the SANI-TRED microscopic penetration process. The block was then broken in half to show its internal cross section. Notice the penetration of the red Permaflex throughout the entire block.
NOTE: For all interior or exterior floor waterproofing installations, where retaining negative hydrostatic pressure is required, it is critical that all old paints, sealers, waterproofing agents etc, must be removed to allow SANI-TRED products to penetrate and bond to the original concrete surfaces. The fact that SANI-TRED waterproofing products have the ability to retain negative hydrostatic pressure can be considered an issue of controversy only to those who choose to remain uninformed.
