Great experience with sanitred products and customer service. We used the products 14years ago to fix our cracked and leaking concrete pool. This year we resurfaced our pool with pebble. The previous cracks that were patched remain intact. We applied permaflex with a sand broadcast to those areas in prep for the bond coat. Sanitred employees walked us through the process to get our pool ready. Order was shipped promptly and secured well in packaging.

Where to begin....we would always get a bit of water on the basement floor from heavy rains so we stored eveything on tables. In 2009 we experienced MAJOR flooding where the culverts that carry the river next to our home where blocked with a beaver dam (we live in Beaver Bank, NS Canada) and the river eventually surrounded our home. The hydrostatic pressure filled our basement through the joint at the floor & footings and also a few floor cracks, the pressure was also strong enough that the water actually came in through the floor drains destroying the check balls that were supposed to stop the water! After speaking with local contractors on how to fix the problem, they all decided that their suggestions probably would not work due to the fact that the water outside and inside our basement was at the same level....there is no way digging up around the outside and putting new big O ...or sump pumps...or bubble wrap on the outside would ever work SO I started the search online and eventually came across Sani-Tred and testimonies from people who were able to completely waterproof their basement and save their homes AND it was a DIY product.Although the products are not cheap, my wife and I decided to give them a try and to this day almost 14 years later we have not had a drop of water in our basement since we installed the Sani-tred. The cost ($2,500.00) to completely water proof and Radon proof our basement was at about 25% of the cheapest contractor price to put in their water proofing system that would NOT WORK! "....and also their system would do nothing for the Radon"Since that time we have helped 5 other friend's and family water proof their homes as well and again "not a drop of water" in any of them! One of those homes was our sons who also lived in the highest Radon area in Lower Sackville...now he and family are safe from flooding and from Radon Gas!!!!!Thank you Sani-Tred.....Canada loves your products!!!!

Everyone associated with incredible products is knowledgeable and professional when you call. The products are far superior to the box store products in quality and performance. 100% recommend any contractor or individual purchase products from them. A shout out to Mrs. Jeanine for always taking care of our orders and following through with her insight and professionalism.

We purchased Sani-Tred waterproofing for our garage. We live on the side of a mountain and our garage is on the downhill side where winter snow thaw run-off water and summer rains (monsoons) would cause water seepage to actual flooding of the garage through the garage stem wall. We followed the two step process for filling holes/seams as well as sealing the concrete wall to floor seam. THE SEALING PROCESS WORKED FLAWLESSLY! The garage has not had any leakage since we sealed our garage over three years ago. We highly recommend Sani-Tred products!

I've used these products on several houses. If you follow the instructions and apply correctly, it will stop 100% of water infiltration. My only complaint is that packaging was change up and the last time I used the products it took 3 shipments before I got it without damage. Hopefully they have gone back to using the spray foam to secure product in the boxes!!Will be the company I call when in need of water proofing!!

I have used the product on two applications. The first time I used it to fill small pin holes on a livestock trailer and then painted/waterproofed the entire trailer. The second time was a repair and waterproofing of an evaporative cooler. Both times the product worked great. This product is well worth the money.

After getting ridiculous estimates to have our deck (which serves as the ‘roof’ for part of our finished basement) sealed with a walkable and nice-looking surface… we found Sani Tred online and went with it! It is a VERY superior product to ANYTHING found in big box stores or even contractors- who want to lay a rubber sheet which they call a membrane to go under something like tongue-and-groove, etc…. We knocked this project out at our own pace over a weekend!Adding the non-slip ‘crumbles’ to our liking finished the resort-style look! That was more than a decade ago, and after a quick spraywash with a few drops of detergent, it is like it was done yesterday! You can even RECOAT it WITHOUT prepping the surface other than a washing- adding layers, changing the color, adding-or covering over more non-slip ‘crumbles’ in any pattern to your liking!GET THIS!!!

I had a horrible water problem at my previous house. The water table was 1.5 feet above my basement finished floor and the sump pump ran constantly. This stuff was crazy effective. Just follow the instructions. I’m not one to endorse products, but this stuff was the real deal.

I’ve used the Sanitred products for the last 7 years. We use them on our outside projects. We use them on the interior projects when there’s a high % of vapor in the concrete. We have used them on commercial and residential projects where water literally comes up through the floor after it rains. And we’ve even applied it in temperatures of 18 degrees with an 18 mph wind chill and it cures. What’s not to love about the Sanitred products and systems. They simply work. Got ugly concrete? Sanitred has an answer. If I was to only have one “tool” In the toolbox for fixing ugly concrete or to work with, it would be the Sanitred products. The most versatile, durable, easy to use and highly effective systems out there. No matter what your issue is, if you look at the Sanitred products… I’m almost certain you will find the answer is here. Can you tell I’m a a real fan? That’s bc we have used them in so many different applications and solved so many of our customers issues with this one line of products.

I could not be happier with the products from Sani-Tred, the help I received from Jeanine, and the contractor (Enrico Bozeman @ TDS) Jeanine put me in touch with to re-seal my backyard water feature. The advice and support about the Sani-Tred products was top notch. The guidance I received about using pool paint to product the product from chlorine and where to buy it was super helpful (Olympic Zeron paint and their custom paint service @ Kelley Tech was fantastic!). Most importantly, the job done by Enrico and his team was AWESOME!! They were super friendly, meticulous and hardworking! I am super glad I found Sani-Tred on my internet search!! I have included before, in-process and after photos to help you out.

We used sanitred to waterproof our full unfinished basement so we could finish it. We live in TN, and always had problems with water intrusion due to cracks in the concrete floor and we had water pouring in from where the pipes came into the house every time it rained, the only time our basement was not wet was mainly during the summer months and sometimes when it was too cold to rain. Anyways just wanted to give you a picture of what we were dealing with. We had companies look and they quoted us over 20 K to waterproof which mainly Included a sump pump. We spent about $6000 on sanitred and finished coating our entire basement in about two weeks. There is a pic I posted of the pipe coming into our house in our wood shop that we dry walled around. We did it ourselves with a toddler in tow, and it went great. That was three years ago, we have since not had any water or failure of the sanitred system. We opened up our basement to the main floor without concern for mold or water problems. Our son is 5 now and I can honestly say it was good to know he will be exposed to less radon as well.Let the pictures speak for themselves! (Excuse the construction zone, drywall next step). This product is awesome!!

LRB plus TAV is an amazing combination. My friends and I use this combo on Alaskan Bush Wheels, which are over-sized tundra tires used on bush planes. The compound of these tires is very soft and they get worn out very quickly on asphalt. The replacement cost is exorbitant (almost $4,000 for a set of two), so discovering this compound was critical for the type of flying we do. It extends the life of the tires and when they start to run down . . . we coat them again. Thanks Sani-Tred for offering this product to the market. It works far better than anything else that we've experimented with.

SaniTred is a very durable product. We use it on our large deck/ carport cover. First time we applied it was 2009. 23 years old. We have retouched it for cosmetic purposes since the deck is flat and stubborn dirt pockets/ deck rail paint splatter accumulates on a flat surface. In Southern California it really stands up to the sun. Definitely will continue to use this product.
Response from the owner: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us Anna! Glad everything worked out for your project.

I have used Sani-Tred on multiple projects and it performs exactly how they advertise it. The Permaflex is thicker than expected and you need to use thinner to get the consistency you want but once you find the right mixture for your application, it performs well. The products ship fast, and their customer service is readily available. I have had several friends ask for my recomendation for a product and I always refer them to Sani-Tred.

At the Illinois Railway Museum we had old railroad car built in 1930 with metal roof that had developed lots of water leaks over many years from being stored outdoors. The main reason for the leaks was the roof duct formed a natural "lake" with the roof centerline where water would accumulate. The problem was where we tried to apply conventional sealants but the metal was rusted and the sealants did not adhere to the rust. Many of the rusted areas were difficult to get to clean up making the problem more challenging. One of our contractors recommended Permaflex and LRB sealants for waterproofing. We did use these two products are were able to stop the water leaks completely. The reason it worked is because the Permaflex adheres well to rusted surfaces. It also remains pliable and can expand/contract with the metal. It is easy to work with and it does adhere. We sandblasted the roof completely 15 years after applying Permaflex/LRB and the vapor abrasive blaster did not take the Permaflex off! The combination Permaflex/LRB saved this historic railroad car from significant water damage until it was stored indoors and could be restored. The customer service folks have always been friendly and helped us with any questions.

I have now used sani-tred twice. First time was to seal up the concrete block basement and cement slab. I used permaflex and TAV and LRB to completely seal what was a watery basement that made it unusable. Apply it as directed and the stuff is amazing. Then I went to build a fence and I didn't want to replace the wooden posts in ten years. So I applied permaflex to the bottom 4'6" of the 12' posts. These posts are now completely sealed from the ground and fungus and all the stuff that eats away the wood underground. The fence will out live me for sure. The stuff is just amazing and you don't need any special equipment, I just used a roller.

My husband passed away. Home improvements do not come easy for me. The application and product were great! The support from Jeanine was so very helpful since I was clueless as to what I was doing. But I expect many compliments on the end result!

Here is a report on the performance of your Permaflex/ LRB system:

We had a leak in the floor-wall joint of an old warehouse that is used to store cement. Four systems were tried to seal it, some of them with expensive brand products, all failing in a few months. To keep the place dry required careful and continuous inspection and regular repairs. It was a tough place to seal.

In 2016 we tried your Permalex+LRB+Permaflex system. And it held up, yes it worked. Yeah, that’s nice, but boring, isn’t it? Why the fuss?  Well, because it held up to the 20+ inches of rain in 150 mph sustained winds that María threw at it in Bayamón, Puerto Rico in September this year! Because it worked in a building where the wind blew out a new pedestrian metal door out of its new metal frame, and where the adjoining property lost walls and roof. And because it kept thousands of dollars worth of cement dry.

And that was after taking a couple of punches from Tropical storm Irma a few days earlier. Good job, Permaflex!

“The Old Stone Church in Saddle River N.J. dates back to the time of the Revolutionary war. In their educational building, they had a water issue for 30 years that they were unable to solve (the basement of the building is about 10 feet below grade). After cleaning and preparing the cement block, we applied 3 coats of Sani-Tred. The problem was solved and they have not had any water in 3 years.”

John McKeon | Alternative Waterproofing Solutions

“I followed the instructions supplied with the Sani-Tred Product, applied as specified. It was fast, easy, and came out really well. I tell you..this stuff is like flexible iron. They say like the sidewall of a truck tire? Perfect description. It hangs on with an unholy tenacity.”

-Paul | Florida

“My home was built in 1909 with a poured concrete foundation. I am not a contractor, just a homeowner trying to make my basement a livable space. The basement presented me with two water related issues that I needed to find a solution for. Seasonally the water table naturally rises to a level at or above the footers with water finding its way through floor cracks and the wall to floor joint. The second was an issue with the concrete walls “wicking” water producing a flaky effervescence powder and spalling of the concrete. To make matters worse many of the surfaces had been painted over with multiple layers of paint which was failing. I researched many possible solutions and decided on trying Sani-Tred. I divided my project into three “bite size” components since my internal basement walls were also concrete and defined more or less what my floor plan was going to be. Phase 1 was a small room which was going to be my laundry room and my chance to test the Sani-Tred Permaflex product. I read where it was essential for good surface prep so I meticulously removed all crumbly concrete, effervescence, and old paint. I used a Bosch concrete grinder connected to my shop vac that did the job very nicely. The floor was etched with muriatic acid, rinsed and allowed to dry. The Sani-Tred Permaflex product was applied, the LRB-TAV in all cracks and joints, then a final coat of Permaflex. I was instantly impressed with how the product bonded with the clean concrete, this stuff is amazing. The room was then studded and dry walled with no sign of water or moisture problems in the past year. I then completed Phase 2 (family room) and Phase 3 (bathroom) in the same manner. No more moisture, mildew, mold, or effervescence period! I am totally convinced this was the right technology for my situation and I am sure glad I did not go with the common hardware store sealer paints. There is no odor after the Permaflex cures. The colored Permaflex floors are nice enough that we use just throw rugs and it looks very finished. No other product on the market like Sani-Tred and the people at Sani-Tred are very helpful answering questions. The basement is now one of our favorite parts of my home. I usually do not provide testimonials but the Sani-Tred products are really that good.”

-Steve Szmyd | Sheridan, Wyoming

”Staff was very helpful over the phone. Could not have done this project without them. Product was delivered in a timely fashion. Being able to solve my basement wall leak this way saved me thousands of dollars! Thank you!”

-Mike | Marysville, WA

“Always impressed with perma flex. It’s a little secret weapon of mine. We do basement waterproofing.”

-Kahle | West Michigan Waterproofing

“Works perfectly just like the paperwork says stop water intrusion in the basement will use on all other projects for waterproofing thank you!”

-Doug B. | All Done Home Repair & Projects

“I recently purchased a quart of Permaflex to seal a very expensive fountain we acquired “as is” from a local nursery. The fountain was experiencing efflorescence after a month and we want to keep it for a while. The Permaflex was easy to apply and dried in a timely manner. I called customer service a few times with questions about prep and application specific to my project and they were friendly and helpful. We applied rustoleum stone paint and two coats of sealer and I have to say it turned out great and I know it will last generations, I might have to touch up the paint at some point but I know it will never leak or degrade with the Permaflex applied! Thanks Sani-Tred!”

“A little over a year ago I found your product on a wood boat forum and enquired how I may use it to make a 1954 boat with a destroyed canvas bottom float again. My Father’s dream was to fix it up so his grandkids could experience driving a wooden boat. The boat was in dry dock for 25 years and my father has since passed on but I didn’t want to let his dream go. I want you know that I am more than satisfied with the products you recommended for my job and with the results. I have attached a few pictures to show you how well the PermaFlex and LRB covered the old cedar planks and created a beautiful water tight bottom. I was totally amazed that it filled in all the cracks and joints covered the screw and nail heads and still ended up with a smooth look. Thank you very much for your advice, for creating a truly unique and great product, and for helping me get an old boat back in the water again. My children will have years of fun driving around in their little wooden boat!”

-Roger

“I find that SaniTred is a very reliable product. From its easy application to its incredible ability to resist abrasion and its ability to be a decorative solution on damaged concrete, I have not found anything that can compare. This product and its elasticity properties make it the ultimate crack repair material. I have done thousands of feet with this product and am very comfortable to give a limited lifetime warranty on my installs.”

“I had researched many different products to repair my basement leaks. I was not really sure if it would work but I was willing to give it a try. I was Amazed, it not only worked and sealed my basement so well – I bought more for my deck and pool area. I am so glad I did. Thank you Sanitred. I will be back to order more for my next project – my boat”

-Mark Shu

“We applied PermaFlex and AL to the decks on our boat last year, went thru winter here in Valdez, AK with record snowfall. Decks look just like the day we left in Oct and NO leaks. This stuff is great.”

J. Burns

“Last spring I purchased SANI-TRED Permaflex to seal my cement silo and cattle water tank. We cleaned the side walls of the tank with a portable electric steel brush. A few years ago we had it sealed with “”Gunnite””, a blown on concrete plaster. This left a very rough surface. We used the Permaflex at a rate of 100 sq. ft. per gallon with paint rollers. We left it alone for several days before filling the water tank. After three weeks it was down only 1/2″ due only to surface evaporation. Prior years it would seep down 6″ in just one week. As you can see we are very pleased with the results. The tank didn’t leak or seep all summer.”

-Hans A. Sulzer

“We are using it to repair a few spots on the bottom of our aluminum pontoons that we coated earlier. It has been a lifesaver for the boat.”

-D. Carson

“I am writing to express my experience with some of your products. I have a 35 year old steel hull house boat. I bought it sitting in the water and when I took it out at the end of the year I have no idea how it was still floating. It had more holes then I cared to count in the hull. I thought I was going to have a lot of welding done to repair all the damage. After getting estimates on the repairs I was ready to send it to the scrap yard. Even if I had the welding done it still needed some way to water proof the welds. So I started looking on the internet for ways to waterproof the repairs. I found your web site and found you had a product to repair the holes also. I was still skeptical so I can to your site and picked it up and talked with your people in person. I had the hull completely sand blasted to bare metal and applied your products. I used the LRB & TAV mix to repair the holes and weak areas and several coats of PermaFlex as the finish coat. I must tell you I! am very surprised with the hole repairs. In the rear bilge area on hole I could stick my fist in the hole it was so big. I layered the coats and it was in the water all season with no leaks at all. I must say until I used it and proved it myself I had my doubts. There is no doubt in my mind you SAVED my boat. I never would of spent what the typical repairs would have been. And another bonus IT LOOKS GREAT TOO!! Thanks for saving my boat.”

-Mike Hotham | Erie, IL

“This stuff is great! Very user friendly and forgiving. It cured tough as nails. Man! I like it! Even someone like me achieved factory like results! I’ll email you some pics of the boat projects when I’m done. Thank you for your help today with my steel boat application questions. I look forward to applying Sani-Tred and LRB on my back deck area. If your products work below the waterline as well as you described, I’m going to nominate you for a Nobel prize. I can’t imagine not having to scrape and grind my boat bottom again.”

-Captain Gerry | Silver Fox Charters

“Just looking at your site again, it’s been awhile. I was pleasantly surprised to see my old boat add for reference. I should have taken close up pictures of the deck, it turned out nice. I even got a free lunch on a bet, “all wood boats leak in rain”. This boat was BONE DRY! Thanks for a great product.”
