Recently Steve Beavers of 7C’s Construction was asked if he could restore an aging water fountain in the St. Louis area. Steve recommended the SANI-TRED System as a long term, affordable, and attractive option for a concrete fountain sealer. Steve re-sloped the bottom of the fountain from 1 1/2″ – 1/2″ to drain better with rapid set mortar mix. He also parged the vertical walls with grout to fill in grinder marks prior to coating. He then primed with SANI-TRED Permaflex, patched with Liquid Rubber Base/Thickening Activator mixture, and then after another coat of Permaflex topcoated with blue swimming pool epoxy. Steve loved the ease of use for the water fountain repair, and the customer loved the look of their “new” fountain.
